Lahore High Court Moves to 4-Day Workweek, Official Notification Issued

Lahore: The Lahore High Court has decided to implement a four-day workweek. The Registrar of the Lahore High Court has issued an official notification regarding the change.

According to the notification, the High Court and subordinate courts across the province will operate from Monday to Thursday.

The notification states that the urgent cell for filing new cases will operate with 50 percent staff from Monday to Thursday, while only 10 percent staff will be available on Friday and Saturday.

Security and cleaning staff, however, will continue their regular schedule throughout the week.

Schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab will remain closed from March 10 to March 31

The notification also specifies that any additional protocols or special arrangements will not be allowed.

The decision aims to balance court operations and reduce unnecessary administrative costs.

This move will affect working hours for lawyers and court staff, and could have implications for the scheduling of legal proceedings.
